Maybe some of my friends have received the poem made by me for celebration about Bugei or gift.

Most of these are called "Budo-ka", it is the essence of Bugei.

This custom is traditional way for Bugei in Japan.

Actually, these essences are my Bugei experience.

Making Budo-ka is good training for me.

It shows the essence of Bugei to me by making Budo-ka.

When I make Budo-ka, lot of my Bugei experiences are simplified and clarified.

The truth is always simple, I think.

I can realize what an unnecessary thing is and what the truth is by the training of making Budo-ka.

Many famous Samurai have written Budo-ka. These are also famous in present martial artists. Mine is amateur, only for fun.

Not only Bugei but also other Japanese traditional arts are using this style.

Good traditional performing artists don't trust the superior literature or eloquence. Essence is always in an action. Actually, my Zen master dislikes writing something of the Zen to the disciples.

Japanese tea ceremony arts is using this style also. Most famous poem is

利休道歌(Rikyu Doka), the collection of Rikyu's poems. It was written by Sen no Rikyu. There are 100 poems in the collection. A lot of theory, rule and philosophy are written. All of these are the essence of tea ceremony, but some of these are also universal truth. I've been paying attention to it for a long time. As you already to know that Budo is sometime related with Zen and Tea ceremony.

Now, I would like to introduce some of Rikyu Doka from next blog. It maybe interesting for Bugeisha and the friends who are interesting in Japan.
