The Kanji of "習"(nara, study) consists of the part of "羽(wing)" and "白(white)".

Originally, "自(self)" was used instead of "白(white)".

In a word, the Kanji"習" was showing the bird which was practicing for flying.

By the way, I am interested in the transform from "自" to "白".

About the Kanji"白", one piece of horizontal stick was taken from "自".

Maybe simple is better? Lighter is better for bird?

Or, the scolding that reducing bou(棒,stick):bou(望,desire)?

For birds, flying or do not flying is extremely important matter.

The practice to flying is the significance of existence of the bird.

However, the bird doesn't practice flying as such a thing worries.

The bird practices becoming innocent and flying.

I think that the bird becomes a flying practice itself.

There is no ego there.

"習" has a feather growing on self and flaps and does not seem to settle.

The purpose of the practice is not others. It is for yours own.

It might be able to be said that the ego is forgotten and it practice it only for yourself.

The lesson is done expecting every effect customized only for yourself.

Therefore, you had better think that the profit of practice could receive another person with a vice-next effect to the last.

Your existence is only one in the past, the future and the universe. It is only one time.

Therefore, it can be said that criticizing to the practice to which others are customized for you is amusing.

I wish to work on the practice silently by each one.

But the advice from the person who does not have ego is good for yourself.

Probably, I think that such a person is a very splendid person.

We want to do study with such a posture.

But enormous labor is necessary if you begin all at a beginning.

Therefore, by the acquisition of traditional arts, accumulated wisdom and experiences are used.

You should contact with respect for ancient people, master, seniors if you study traditional arts.

The humility that covers the self with a white feather, such a meaning may be included in kanji "習", too.
